After a long period of fluctuation and washing, gold finally ushered in the highly anticipated non-agricultural market. Just when the market thought it would use data to create a major market, the facts quickly slapped the face.
On Wednesday, the ADP employment report from private institutions showed that the number of new people increased by -33,000 in June, which is very different from the expected value of 95,000. On Tuesday, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell said that if the data is poor, it is not ruled out that interest rates will be cut in July.
After the ADP was announced on Wednesday, the market rose slightly in the early morning of Thursday, but it was only slightly higher. I originally thought that the ADP employment population was so poor, the unemployment rate would not be much better, and non-agricultural products would not be much better, but the facts were once again severely slapped in the face. Last night, the official June non-farm employment population announced the actual value was 147,000, while the expected value was 110,000. The actual unemployment rate was 4.1%, and the predicted value was 4.3%. Such beautiful data is really overwhelming.
Then gold launched a rapid retracement, but it only quickly hit the bottom of 3312 and quickly recovered most of the lost ground. Currently, the area around the 3330 mark is repeatedly fluctuating. The positive is long, it is difficult to rise, the negative is negative, and the decline does not continue. We previously said that the pattern bottomed out of 3348 for one hour, in line with the daily-level band bullish, but it changed. After experiencing last night's non-agricultural sector, the top structure appeared again and the direction turned short again! The top structure is switched so frequently, it is inseparable from the authenticity of the data! But the only thing we can do is to follow the trend, grasp and follow up based on the current morphological structure, and it will not change the established facts of the market at all!
Simply put, the short-term shape structure is very clear now. After closing below 3330 in one hour, the top structure appears and the direction turns empty! Although there is no second wave of decline in the market at the moment, we remain bearish until it emerges from a new bottom structure.
There are two positions for short selling;
1. In the short term, you can focus on the 3350-3355 area. Today, under this area, if the market rebounds and the small-level pattern peaks, you can be short!
2. If the price falls below 3324 later, you can also directly follow the trend and follow the short term. Please refer to the 3310 or 3300 line below!
