XM Exchange Review: Das schwache Muster des US-Dollar-Index setzt sich fort, Nicht-US-Währungen steigen weiter an und der Schweizer Franken entwickelt sich hervorragend. In den letzten neun Monaten hatte USDCHF nur in einem Monat eine positive Linie und die restlichen acht Monate schlossen mit einer negativen Linie. Der Tiefststand von USDCHF in diesem Monat lag bei 0,7872 und näherte sich damit dem Tiefststand des letzten Monats von 0,7828. Sobald dieser Punkt durchbrochen wird, wird USDCHF ein neues Tief seit Oktober 2011 erreichen.
Langfristig gesehen wurde der historische Tiefststand von USDCHF im Juli 2011 erreicht, wobei der Tiefststand bei 0,7067 Punkten lag. Damals konnte der Schweizer Franken gegenüber dem US-Dollar auf ein Rekordniveau aufwerten, vor allem weil die Nachwirkungen der US-Subprime-Hypothekenkrise noch immer das Vertrauen der Weltmärkte beeinträchtigten. Als die Kreditwürdigkeit des US-Dollars ihren Tiefpunkt erreichte, profitierte der Schweizer Franken als sichere Hafenwährung natürlich von diesem Trend. Basierend auf dem Tiefststand von USDCHF in diesem Monat bei 0,7872 ist er nur noch 805 Basispunkte vom historischen Tief entfernt. Wenn der Markt mitspielt, wird USDCHF voraussichtlich ein neues Rekordtief erreichen.
Die Schwäche der US-Makroökonomie ist für alle offensichtlich, wie die Herabstufung der Kreditwürdigkeit der USA durch Ratingagenturen und die schwachen US-Beschäftigungsberichte außerhalb der Landwirtschaft im August und September belegen. Der US-Dollar-Index führte zu einem Rückgang des USDCHF, was die Hauptantriebskraft war. Andererseits haben die extrem niedrige Inflationsrate des Schweizer Frankens und die Nullzinspolitik zum Rückgang des USDCHF beigetragen.

Die Inflationssituation in der Schweiz ist nicht optimistisch. Im September der nominale CP der SchweizDie jährliche Rate beträgt nur 0,2 % und liegt damit deutlich unter dem moderaten Inflationsstandard von 2 %. Die Kern-VPI-Jahresrate betrug im September nur 0,7 % und lag damit ebenfalls unter dem Standard einer moderaten Inflation. Die VPI-Daten der Schweiz zeigen einen Abwärtstrend. Wenn die Schweizerische Nationalbank einen Preisverfall nicht wirksam verhindern kann, könnte die Schweiz in den nächsten Monaten in eine Deflation geraten.

Als Reaktion auf die schwachen Preise senkte die Schweizerische Nationalbank die Zinsen weiter. Nachdem die Schweiz im Juni die Zinsen um 25 Basispunkte gesenkt hatte, erreichte sie offiziell den Nullzinsstatus. Allein aus Zinssicht sind die Zinsen in der Schweiz niedrig und in den USA hoch, sodass Mittel tendenziell in die USA fließen. Allerdings hat der Schweizer Franken selbst die Eigenschaft eines sicheren Hafens und tendiert von Natur aus dazu, aufzuwerten, wenn die globale Lage turbulent ist. Zudem kann die Schweizerische Nationalbank, die bereits den Nullzins erreicht hat, die Zinsen nicht weiter senken. Im Gegenteil: Die Fed hat noch viel Spielraum für Zinssenkungen.
